Eric Butkiewicz is a native from the community having lived in Middle Village all his life. As a child he attended St. Stan’s grammar school in Maspeth. While growing up and even today Eric has had a passion for baseball playing on local baseball teams such as the Midville Dodgers. He still pursues that passion today organizing, playing on, and managing his own local baseball team as well as passing on what he has learned by coaching his younger brother’s team.
Eric has founded multiple startups including a news website EB Media where he managed a team of 17 staff and recorded and produced the site’s video content as well as C~Flow an educational software startup that he still works on today. Eric has always been a major advocate for free speech and open discussion. To promote these values, Eric founded the organization Doxa, where he secured a key partnership with a college and large non profits to hold a public forum on Safety and Justice as well as holding many other events to promote speech, discussion, and community involvement.
While in college Eric studied government administration and policy including Transit Policy, Education Policy, and Urban Development graduating with academic distinction.
